Thad Kahlow is the CEO of BusinessOnline and is responsible for the entrepreneurial leadership of all operations. His visionary leadership style has helped propel the company into the online marketing spotlight; making BusinessOnline one of the nation’s leading digital agencies. He focuses on the alignment of business goals and customer needs so our clients can make business decisions guided by information that matters. Thad’s “roll-up-the-sleeves and get it done” attitude coupled with a commitment to client relationships allows him to effectively direct the agency to support large engagements with sophisticated, global clients.
Thad is considered an authority on online marketing. He has presented at numerous industry and executive conferences including the DMA, HTMA, AMT and Online Marketing Summit, is published in leading trade and business publications like iMedia, ERA and B2B Magazine, and was one of the original founding members of the SEMPO institute.
Executive Editor, B2Beacon
Rich has over 20 years of experience in planning, building and optimizing B2B Digital Marketing programs for some of the smartest companies in the world. On the agency side, while at BusinessOnline and Grey Interactive he works with world-class B2B brands including HP, NetApp, Dell, Honeywell, and Workday. On the client side, he has been a CMO or VP Marketing for big online brands such as CNET and ZipRealty and for start-ups like Zing and Fuze.
Rich is also a recognized thought-leader in B2B Digital Marketing – as frequent speaker and contributor but most notably as founder and Executive Editor for the educational site wwwB2Beacon.com. For B2Beacon, Rich collaborated with leaders from over 30 companies including Google, Salesforce, Adobe, LinkedIn, Marketo, Forrester Research, Demandbase, Bizo, Kenshoo and many more. This gives him the unique ability to broadly understand the overall B2B Digital Marketing ecosystem while also deeply understanding the practical realities of executing Digital Marketing programs in B2B companies.
Rich earned his BA in Economics at Emory University and an MBA from the School of Management at Yale University. Rich also enjoys spending time with wife and two young kids. He also tries to find time for CrossFit, tennis, biking and playing the drums loudly.
SVP, Client Services
For more than 18 years, Todd has been developing integrated marketing campaigns for some of the world’s leading brands including Hewlett-Packard, Disney, Nortel and Sony to name a few. Todd has a unique background spanning both client side and agency side, with agency icons like McCann Worldgroup and FCB on his resume, along with deep experience in offline (advertising, brand development, PR, POS) and online marketing that allows him to consistently drive sales for clients in all industries by finding the right mix of medium, message, and approach.
VP, Professional Services
Matthew oversees all of BusinessOnline’s professional service practice areas. A seasoned web technology leader with 10+ years’ experience in Web Development and Information Technology, Matthew has honed his skills in consulting, startup, and corporate IT settings. Matthew brings deep hands-on technical experience with enterprise web applications, systems integration, and building scalable, high-availability systems. In his most recent prior role, Matthew led software engineering teams developing mission-critical applications for one of San Diego’s largest publicly-traded corporations. Matthew has experience leading global web development projects for the APAC and EMEA markets.
Matthew enjoys spending time with his two boys, backyard barbeque, reading, and espousing snarky witticisms.
